Before & After Treatment

Before treatment

30 days prior to treatment it is best to avoid botox and fillers in the area, peels, extreme sun exposure and laser treatments. Within 3-4 days prior to treatment, blood thinners, fish oil, retinoids and alcohol is best avoided.

To know if you are the right candidate for this procedure, consult with your artist if you have any skin conditions, health issues, taking certain medication or have a pre existing PMU on your Eyebrows.

How successful the treatment will be depends on

Skin quality, exposure to various external influences & post treatment care. Pre and post care will be provided and discussed during consultation.

After treatment

Allow freshly microbladed eyebrows 7- 10 days to heal. It is normal for the eyebrow to look patchy during the healing process. Don’t be concerned if the strokes have disappeared or faded as it takes the pigment roughly 4 weeks to resurface. During the initial healing stage the eyebrows will appear bold and dark – the colour will reduce and settle by 40% and the thickness by 15% when healed. Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success. Conscientiously stick and adhere to the given advice. Lack of care can cause you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Rinsing and applying the cream is of great significance.

FAQ’s

Is the treatment painful?

Some discomfort is to be expected. Depending on the individual’s tolerance, sensation and pain threshold, it can vary. Numbing is included during the process. Pre numbing upon request can be arranged but not recommended.

Why?

Strokes are made very superficially in the skin and cream before treatment compromises the outcome, the depth of the work, precision, healing process and quality of the strokes. The treatment is less tolerable through the menstruation cycle and therefore avoided.

How long will my Eyebrows last?

Depending on the individual’s skin type, how long the pigment retains in the skin can vary.

Oily skin will require more frequent visits or touch ups such as 6 – 12 months.

Whilst skin that’s on the drier side with less oil production can hold the pigment well for extended periods of time and may only require a visit every 1-2 years.

Please bear in mind exceeding these time frames does not mean losing the microbladed work completely, but simply that fading and loss of strokes will occur, some clients quicker than others.
